With football season come Monday-night-football parties in Las Vegas. This year two casinos — Sam's Town and Suncoast — are hosting parties where your first hot dog and beer are free.

Doors open at both an hour before game time, and while you need to show the casino's slot card at Sam's Town you need only show up to get the goodies at Suncoast.

Other good venues for the Monday-night game include South Point, Orleans, Gold Coast, Sunset Station, Green Valley Ranch, Monte Carlo, Tuscany, Rampart, Sahara, and Monte Carlo. On Sundays, the Las Vegas Hilton sponsors its NFL Central event, with big screens in the showroom and the sports book, along with $1 hot dogs and $2 beers.

All these, and other parties around town, are free to enter.

NEW PUB: A new brew venue has opened at the Monte Carlo. Taking over where the Brewpub left off, The Pub features multiple sports screens, beer pong, live music (Friday and Saturday), pub-style food, and more than 50 beers on tap.

BB BLUES: B.B. King's Blues Club has been announced for a "winter" opening at the Mirage. The restaurant, bar and music venue figures to feature live performances by King, and marks the first dedicated casino-based jazz/blues club since the now defunct Blue Note at Planet Hollywood.

TROP EATS: The Tropicana is opening two new restaurants to jump-start its $125 million renovation. Already open is the Italian bistro Bacio Pasta & Vino. And debuting soon is a breakfast joint called Havana Go Go Cafe. Much more to come.
