Cycling: Photographer's motorcycle driver dies at Giro

PINEROLO, Italy — A motorcycle driver for a photographer covering the Giro d'Italia has died in a crash while heading to the start of the 10th stage of the cycling race.
Fabio Saccani worked for cycling photographer Roberto Bettini, who was not on the motorcycle at the time of the crash.
Saccani, 69, was working in his 32nd Giro. He also worked the Tour de France 11 times.
The 10th stage of the Giro began in Cuneo and finished in Pinerolo.
A moment of silence will be observed before the start of Wednesday's 11th stage from Turin to Arenzano.
