Pimpbot, along with four other local music acts — John Cruz, Anuhea, David Tamaoka and One Right Turn — are performing at this week's South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas.

The music festival started Thursday and runs through Sunday. Hundreds of musicians and bands are performing on more than 80 stages, is a who's who of mainstream and independent music, and a breeding ground for up-and-coming musicians.

Pimpbot is scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Cruz, Anuhea, Tamaoka dn One Right Turn are scheduled to do a Hawaiian music showcase today from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
