Laboy indicted on charge of assault during game
An O'ahu grand jury yesterday indicted businessman Clifford Laboy on a charge of assaulting a man during a basketball game two years ago.
Laboy, known for operating Cliff Laboy's Christmas Trees, was charged with first-degree assault in the case, as was his son, Christopher Laboy.
Laboy could not be reached for comment yesterday.
Bail in the case was set at $11,000, according to the City Prosecutor's Office.
Laboy played football for the University of Hawai'i, and another son, Travis LaBoy, is a National Football League player.
