MLB: Athletics' Giambi leaves game with bruised right elbow

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Oakland Athletics first baseman Jason Giambi left Saturday night's game against Tampa Bay in the fifth inning with a bruised right elbow.
The injury may have occurred when Giambi was hit by a pitch during the second inning. Bobby Crosby replaced Giambi at first base.
Giambi, who entered the game hitting .193, struck out in his other plate appearance in the fourth.
