A man who appeared to be in his late 40s was apparently electrocuted this morning while picking fruit at Windward Community College.

Bryan Cheplic of Honolulu Emergency Services said the man was pronounced dead at the scene at 12 p.m.
"Apparently, he was picking some sort of fruit when his pole came in contact with a live electrical line,” Cheplic said.
There were no other injuries, he said.
