Maui County to celebrate Chinese New Year

WAILUKU, Maui — Mayor Charmaine Tavares has announced that the County of Maui will celebrate Chinese New Year on Friday, Jan. 30, with a lion dance performance and martial arts exhibition by Au's Shaolin Arts Society.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. on the front lawn of Kalana O Maui, the County Building, located at 200 South High St. in Wailuku.

The program is free and open to the public.
