Hawaii's Dean Wilson, a Castle High alum, fired a 5-under-par 66 today and was three shots behind leader Phil Mickelson in the first round of the Northern Trust Open in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

Wilson, who is tied for third, carded seven birdies and two bogeys in his round at Riviera Country Club.

Honolulu's Parker McLachlin shot an opening-round 75 and was tied for 132nd in the 144-player field.
