National Guard conference to generate estimated $24M in spending
The National Guard Association’s annual convention planned for Honolulu in 2013 is expected to draw about 5,000 participants and generate more than $24 million in visitor spending.
The event scheduled for from Sept. 21 ro 23 at the Hawaii Convention Center will include delegates from all 50 states and several territories, according to a news release from the Convention Center. The conference will result in an estimated 40,000 room nights booked at local hotels when family members and other non-delegates are included, according to the release.
