NOTES
BRAVES
Atlanta outfielder Garret Anderson and infielder Martin Prado missed last night's opener of a weekend series against the Florida Marlins.
Anderson has a lower back strain. Prado, who is hitting .309 with eight homers and 37 RBIs, could miss the entire three-game series after being diagnosed with "exertional headaches." He's scheduled to meet Monday with Atlanta neurologist Richard Bernstein.
TWINS
Minnesota first baseman Justin Morneau will not play this weekend against the Kansas City Royals because of the lingering effects from a right inner ear infection.
Morneau missed three straight games and was sent back to Minnesota on Thursday to see an ear, nose and throat specialist. He will be re-evaluated on Monday, though the team doesn't expect him to go on the DL.
