Preps: Foodland begins Save Our Sports drive

Foodland Super Market will match donations of its customers starting Monday until Aug. 31 to help the Hawai�i High School Athletic Association �Save Our Sports� program.

HHSAA SOS fund was created by HHSAA executive director Keith Amemiya to help Hawai�i public high school athletics hit by severe budget cuts.
Foodland, Hawai�i�s largest locally owned and operated grocery retailer, will match customers� contributions dollar for dollar of any amount up to $249 at checkout stands at any Foodland and Sack N Save stores statewide.
Customers may make a donation with cash, check, debit card or credit card. The amount donated will appear on the customer�s receitp. Donations are tax deductible.
After Aug. 31, Foodland will match the total collected from its customers up to $50,000.
�We were saddened to hear about the recent budget cuts to Hawai�i�s public schools athletic programs and we want to do what we can to support our schools and community,� said Jenai S. Wall, Foodland chairman and CEO.
