KAIMUKI
Volunteers will spiff up Salvation Army center

Volunteers will spruce up the Salvation Army's Family Treatment Services center in Kaimuki on Friday.

Actus Lend Lease will provide manpower and materials for the work, which includes installing new fixtures and manicuring the yard, among other things. The Kaimuki facility, on 22nd Avenue, holds Women's Way, a residential treatment program for pregnant and parenting women who are recovering from alcohol and drug addiction.

The all-day volunteer effort is part of Actus' Community Day program, which began in 2005.
