Two full days and nights of outdoor festivities are in store at Re-Discover Kailua, a family-friendly event from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and tomorrow at Kailua District Park.

The theme is "E Hoe Aku i Ka Wa'a" ("paddle the canoe, keep moving forward"), a nod to the organizations that have kept the volunteer spirit alive in the community and helped Kailua maintain its reputation as a much-desired place to live.

Among the highlights: entertainment, crafts, games, food and movies. Tonight's feature is "The Game Plan," a comedy starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (pictured) as a football star who is surprised he has a young daughter (Madison Pettis). Tomorrow's film is "Enchanted," about fairy-tale characters who are suddenly transported to real-life New York City.
