THE KOOKS ON HALLOWEEN

The Kooks, the hot indie rock band from Brighton, England, is stopping off in Honolulu for an Oct. 31 concert at Pipeline Cafe.

Also performing: Arkeo, Upstanding Youth, Our Distance and DJ Captain Captain.

It's an all-ages show, but those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

STARSHIP IN NOVEMBER

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. today for a Nov. 21 concert by the Jefferson Starship at Pipeline Cafe. The iconic band, formed in 1965 as Jefferson Airplane and renamed in 1974, is known for rock hits such as "White Rabbit," "We Built This City" and "Sara." Cathy Richardson is the band's newest member, in the vocalist role made famous by Grace Slick.
