Shockhouse tweaks hours as Halloween nears

A hellish Halloween, with frights and freaks galore, await those who dare to visit the "Shockhouse," the spooktacular which has tweaked its hours for a two-weekend wave of ghouls and gore, Oct. 23 through 25 and Oct. 29 through Nov. 1 at the Blaisdell Mansion.

The mansion, housing a twisted maze of ghastly corridors with horrors lurking at every turn, will be located in the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall and the entrance will be at the Blaisdell Galleria doors on Ward Avenue.

Ten rooms of monsters and mayhem will provide ample thrills and chills. The spectacles have such themes as "The Gruesome Graveyard, " "'Vertigo' Insane Asylum," "'Saw' Torture Chamber," "Emily Rose's Bedroom," "Armageddon," "The Crypt," "The Autopsy," "The Grudge," "Death Row" and "Evil Clowns."

Shockhouse hours:

Oct. 23, 6 p.m. to midnight.

Oct. 24, 6 p.m. to midnight.

Oct. 25, 6 p.m. to midnight.

Oct. 29, 5 to 10 p.m.

Oct. 30, 5 p.m. to midnight.

Oct. 31, 4 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Nov. 1, 5 p.m. to midnight.

Advance tickets: $7.50, now on sale at Blaisdell box office and Ticketmaster outlets, including Times Supermarkets.
