Seven face burglary charges for takeover of Iolani Palace in August

The state attorney general's office has charged seven people with second-degree burglary in connection with a takeover of Iolani Palace on Aug. 15, a news release said.
The seven, accused of entering Iolani Palace unlawfully with the intent to commit a crime against property rights, are:
The seven were charged by way of information complaint, the news release said. An initial appearance in Circuit Court is set for tomorrow, except for James Akahi, who is set to appear Monday.
An eighth person, Donald Alfred Love-Boltz, previously was charged with second-degree assault for allegedly beating the palace facilities manager during the takeover. Trial in his case is set for Nov. 10.
Second-degree burglary and second-degree assault are class C felonies, punishable by up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
