No tsunami threat from Russian quake

A 7.0 earthquake in Russia's Sea of Okhotsk poses no tsunami threat for Hawai'i, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in 'Ewa Beach said this morning.
The quake occurred shortly after 11 last night Hawai'i time, but "a destructive Pacific-wide tsunami is not expected and there is no tsunami threat to Hawai'i," the warning center said.
