TONIGHT'S MUST-SEES
"So You Think You Can Dance" season opener, 7 p.m., Fox. The TV landscape will soon be filled with reality competition. Still, this one is likely to again be the best of the bunch. It offers contemporary dance, ranging from hip-hop street kids to trained swing dancers. It's slickly produced by the "American Idol" people. Tonight, the auditions start; a sampling shows there will be some great moments — plus some lackluster ones.
"Grey's Anatomy" season finale, 8 p.m., ABC. Last week's episode reminded us just how good this show can be. Filled with devastating moments, it also had sudden bursts of humor. Now comes the season finale. "Lost" will wait, getting its two-hour finale next Thursday. Expect humor again. Cristina emerges from her funk, thanks to the "sparkle pager." And expect drama. The staff rushes to help a boy trapped in hardening cement; also, Alex tenderly cares for Rebecca (previously known as Jane Doe and Ava) after her false pregnancy.
"Last Comic Standing" season opener, 8:30 p.m., NBC. Auditions start in New York and Tempe. The good news: New York is still the comedy capitol; the first hour crackles with wit. And the bad: Despite the talent overload, only a few New York comics were advanced to the next round; the process is confusing to viewers.

"How I Met Your Mother," 7:30 p.m., CBS. This rerun has some funny moments from Britney Spears, as the receptionist for Ted's new love interest. Yes, it's Britney and Lindsay in one busy TV night.
