Coast Guard transports Kauai man to Oahu

Advertiser Staff

A U.S. Coast Guard rescue aircrew medically evacuated a 50-year-old male from Kauai to Oahu on Sunday.

A Coast Guard C-130 search aircraft from Air Station Barbers Point worked together with an Oahu-based Disaster Medical Assist Team to transport the man, suffering from shock, after being notified by the Hawaii Department of Health at approximately 3 p.m. Sunday.

Crews transported the man from the Barking Sands Pacific Missile Range Facility to Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point where emergency medical services were waiting; EMS then transported the man to The Queens Medical Center.
