Hawai'i Pacific University softball players Jessica Adolph and Ciera Senas were named to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Region Team, announced yesterday by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
Adolph was named to the first team as a utility player and Senas earned second-team honors as an outfielder.
Adolph, a senior from Moreno Valley, Calif., played primarily at third base and also pitched. She started 47 of HPU's 49 games, posting a .355 batting average, 49 hits, 13 doubles, one home run and 28 RBIs.
Senas, a sophomore out of Mililani High School, started 44 games and batted .346 with 35 runs scored, 54 hits, five doubles and a team-high six triples. She also stole a team-high seven bases, and had a .982 fielding percentage in center field.
The Sea Warriors, coached by Howard Okita, finished 43-5-1 and won the Pacific West Conference title, but did not receive a berth to the NCAA Division II tournament because of their weak strength of schedule.
