Help sought finding missing woman on Big Island

Big Island police are asking for the public's help in locating a 54-year-old Puna woman who was reported missing yesterday.

Sophie B. Moon of Hawaiian Paradise Park was last seen at 6:45 p.m. on Sunday.

She is described as 5 feet tall, 150 pounds with blue eyes and thick, medium-length brown hair. She wears glasses and usually wears jeans and a cotton shirt.

Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call the Police Department's nonemergency line at 808-935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call CrimeStoppers at 808-961-8300 in Hilo or 808-329-8181 in Kona. All CrimeStoppers information is kept confidential.
