KAHALU'U
Clean out that old stuff cluttering up your home

Aloha 'Aina Earth Day will host a community cleanup disposal from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Kahalu'u Regional Park on Waihe'e Road.

Residents may drop off materials or, if items are too big, arrange to have them picked up. Acceptable items include: scrap metal, auto parts, bicycles, metal appliances, lawn mowers, pipes, beams, newspaper, cardboard, HI-5¢ containers, tires (passenger-vehicle type), green waste, all types of batteries, reusable household items, clothing, cellular phones, printer cartridges, computers (one per car), cooking oil, telephone books, magazines, eye glasses and hearing aids.

The cleanup will not accept: paint, hazardous fluids, TVs or microwave ovens.

Proceeds from the event will benefit KEY Project's youth programs.

For more information, for curbside pickup, or to volunteer time, a van or a pickup truck, call John Reppun at 239-5777 or Rene Mansho at 306-1876.
