KAILUA, KANE'OHE
Two town hall meetings with legislators slated

Advertiser Staff

Windward residents will have a chance to voice their ideas and concerns prior to the start of the 2008 legislative session at two town hall meetings with lawmakers this month.

The first meeting with Sen. Jill Tokuda and Reps. Pono Chong and Ken Ito will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 8 at the Kailua High School cafeteria. The same legislators will host a second meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 10 at the Castle High School cafeteria in Kane'ohe.

"Our goal in these meetings is to hear from our Windward communities about their needs and concerns, and discuss how we can address these issues both during the upcoming legislative session and into the future," Tokuda said.

The meetings will also be a chance to hear about initiatives each legislator has been working on.
