Final two disaster recovery centers set to open tomorrow

The last two disaster assistance and recovery centers set up to help residents whose homes sustained damage in last week's heavy rains will open tomorrow at Kualoa Ranch and in Laie.

Similar centers have been set up in Waialua, Haleiwa, Windward O'ahu, Waipahu and the Wai'anae Coast over the last three days. Some 471 people have dropped by the centers to get help or information.

The centers tomorrow will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kualoa Ranch, 49-560 Kamehameha Highway, and Brigham Young University in Laie.

The centers will have representatives from state and city agencies and nongovernmental organizations, such as the American Red Cross.
