Roderick Flemings of the University of Hawai'i was named the Western Athletic Conference men's basketball player of the week, the conference office announced today.

Flemings, a junior from Texas, tied a school record for points scored in the Stan Sheriff Center by a UH player with a 37-point effort in the 75-55 victory over Eastern Washington Saturday.

Flemings also had 14 points and 12 rebounds in a 68-58 loss at Illinois.

UH hosts Chicago State tonight.
