NFL: Jaguars activate Harvey, put Wrighster on PUP
Associated Press
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars activated rookie defensive end Derrick Harvey on Thursday and placed tight end George Wrighster on the physically unable to perform list.
Harvey signed a five-year, $23.8 million contract Wednesday, ending a 33-day holdout, and flew to Washington, D.C., for the team's preseason finale against the Redskins. He was the last first-round draft pick to sign.
Wrighster missed all of training camp and the preseason because of a knee injury and will not be eligible to practice or play for the first six weeks of the regular season. Wrighster has 92 career receptions for 815 yards and nine touchdowns.
