The Waipahu Neighborhood Board will hold a forum Aug. 28 for candidates seeking Waipahu-area seats on the City Council and in the state Legislature.

The forum, from 7 to 9:30 p.m., will be part of the board's monthly meeting, at the Filipino Community Center (94-428 Mokuola St. at the Waipahu Street intersection).

Specifically, the board will be hosting candidates for council District 9, the 18th Senate district, and the 35th, 37th, 40th, 41st and 42nd House districts.

The public is invited to attend and encouraged to bring questions.
