Hawai'i chefs will spotlight local ingredients at the 13th annual Made in Hawaii Festival, Aug. 15-17 at the Blaisdell. Sample the wares of chefs Mark Ellman, Andy Nelson, Ed Kenney and Dr. Terry Shintani, to name a few, or stroll the 420 booths between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. Aug. 15-16 or 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Aug. 17. Admission is $3 (children 6 and younger free; coupons available at First Hawaiian Bank, festival sponsor). MAUI CHEFS DINNER

RAIATEA HELM TO SERENADE AT BENEFIT 'OLYMPICS'

Maui will brace for a "Culinary Olympics" 6:30 to 10 p.m. Sept. 5 at The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua when a dozen Maui chefs produce an internationally themed dinner for the 16th annual Maui Chefs Presents dinner.
