Surf rising along east shores

Advertiser Staff

Surf along east shores could reach advisory levels today, the National Weather Servcie said, as a strong high pressure system develops north of the state.

The large, rough surf will continue along east-facing shores through midweek. A pair of south swells are in store next week, producing small to moderate surf on Tuesday and Wednesday, and larger surf Thursday and Friday.

Today, surf along east and north shores will be increasing to 6 to 8 feet; surf along west shores will be 2 to 3 feet and surf along south shores will be 2 to 4 feet.
