JESSE

TAG NO. 07-15138

This calico standout is truly gorgeous. If there was a Miss America contest for cats, Jesse would win paws down. Beautiful markings, always poised, with nary a hair out of place — bring the tiara!

JUNIOR

TAG NO. 07-18655

Junior was diagnosed with heartworm (treatable) and has shown tendencies toward resource-guarding. Still, he has received training and knows basic commands. More importantly, his hopeful expression will melt your heart.

JOSE

TAG NO. 07-15093

This brown and white pit bull was brought to the shelter as a stray on July 9. He is bright but has shown tendencies toward resource-guarding (not unusual for a stray). He also has a broken tooth, which will need a vet's attention.

These animals already may have found homes. The Hawaiian Humane Society and McInerny Dog Park at 2700 Wai'alae Ave. are open 11 a.m.-7 p.m. weekdays, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. weekends and holidays. To see more pets available for adoption, see www.hawaiianhumane.org or call 946-2187. Call immediately to report lost or found animals, ext. 4.
