Alaska Airlines said it has purchased the bookings, brand and Web site of an Anchorage, Alaska-based tour company specializing in Hawai'i vacations as it gears up to begin daily flights between Anchorage and Honolulu in December.

Alaska Airlines said the purchase of Hawaiian Vacations Inc. is scheduled to be completed later this month and will include a transition period during which people who booked with Hawaiian Vacations will be switched to the airlines' flights.
