Jamba Juice now at Waianae Mall

Jamba Juice said it has added another store to its growing chain today, opening at Waianae Mall.

The store becomes the 38th in Hawai'i for the smoothie retailer, which entered the state in 1999 through a joint venture of San Francisco-based Jamba Juice Co. and local partner JJC Hawaii LLC.

The Waianae Mall store is open 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.


FREE FLU SHOTS FOR UHA MEMBERS

University Health Alliance, the health plan that goes by the name UHA, is offering free flu shots for members who are at least 18 years of age.

The insurer said the vaccinations will be available at Longs Drug Stores and that members should check for the store vaccination schedule on its Web site, www.uhahealth.com, or call 532-4000.

UHA is the state's third-largest health insurer with more than 40,000 members and plans offered through more than 1,500 employers.


STATE RENEWS AFFILIATED'S CONTRACTS

Affiliated Computer Services Inc., a Dallas-based company, said the Hawai'i Department of Human Services' Med-QUEST Division has renewed two contracts worth about $6.4 million for management of fiscal agent and pharmacy benefits for the state's Medicaid program.

Affiliated Computer has provided such services to the program since 2001, the company said in a news release.


HILTON IN $1.8B CASH TENDER OFFER

Hilton Hotels Corp., whose properties include those in Waikiki and Waikoloa, started a cash tender offer for $1.8 billion of debt as part of its acquisition by Blackstone Group LP.

In July, Hilton and Blackstone announced a deal that allowed Hilton to be taken private by Blackstone for $20 billion.


MILITARY SALUTES MATSON DIVISION

Matson Navigation Co.'s logistics division has been recognized for its work coordinating inbound supplier shipments to Army and Air Force Exchange Service distribution centers in North America.

The Matson unit was named 2007 Best Valued Partner of the Year by the exchange service.


HAWAIIAN TELCOM AT ARIZONA MEET

Hawaiian Telcom will make a presentation to investors at the Deutsche Bank Annual Leverage Financial Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz. The telephone company said chief financial officer Paul Sunu will give the presentation at 5:35 a.m. local time on Oct. 3.


INNER CIRCLE ELECTS MARK S. DAVIS

Mark S. Davis, a founding partner of Honolulu law firm Davis Levin Livingston Grande, has been named president-elect of the Inner Circle of Advocates, a civil plaintiff's attorneys group.

The members are selected by peers and the group is limited to 100 attorneys who have distinguished themselves in the courtroom, according to a news release. Davis will serve for two years as president-elect and two years as president.
