Sure, there are motivational speakers, demonstrations, makeovers, authors and their books, and more shopping than you can shake a credit card at.
But what we really want to see is the Celebrities and Their Pets Fashion Show, 12:30 p.m. each day of this weekend's fifth annual Hawai'i Woman Expo. Woof!
The pets will wear creations by Monica Shigenaga, owner/designer of the doggie-fashions company Cocojor (named after her dogs Coco and Jordan). Several celebs are to take part in the event with their fuzzy friends (see right).
Petwear is in the spotlight, to be sure; but there's another facet to the fashion show — to bring awareness to pet adoption and possibly bring in more volunteers to the Hawaiian Humane Society.
Also at the expo: entertainment that includes Kristian Lei, Yasmin Dar and Jordan Segundo of "Destination: Groove Dance Hawaii," Danny Couch and others. And among dozens of exhibitors is everything from 24 Hour Fitness to Bibbitea Bobbitea Brew, investment specialists, travel agents, health and beauty services, jewelry and other fashions.
