The eighth annual Maori Song and Dance Competition takes place Saturday at the Polynesian Cultural Center.

The all-day event starts at 9 a.m. with the keiki competition in the Pacific Theater.

In addition, the event will feature a haka competition and a concert by popular New Zealand group Adeaze. (A haka is a traditional dance of challenge or welcome.)

Admission is $10, free for children under 3.

Purchase of a ticket allows admittance into the Polynesian Cultural Center for the rest of the day.
