ID thieves target credit union

Members of HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union are the latest target of a so-called phishing e-mail that tries to get them to disclose account information.
The e-mail asks people if they'd like to answer a five-question survey to receive $50, adding that the answers will better help the company understand its customers.
The bogus message is the latest in a string of e-mails targeting members of Hawai'i credit unions. While appearing official, they typically link to a phony Web page where respondents are asked for personal and account data that criminals use to get cash.
HAWAIIAN AIR BEST IN NATION
Hawaiian Airlines was rated the nation's best airline for on-time performance in January.
Hawaiian led all carriers in punctuality with 91.9 percent of its flights arriving as scheduled, according to a monthly report from the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Hawaiian also earned the top ranking for fewest flight cancellations in January at 0.2 percent, representing 11 cancellations out of 4,622 total flights. The airline had the third-best score at taking care of customers' luggage with 3.72 mishandled baggage reports for every 1,000 passengers.
TIME WARNER REFUNDS ORDERED
Time Warner Entertainment Co. was ordered by the state to refund $120,078 to Maui subscribers and $42,100 to Hilo, Hawai'i, subscribers for over-collected franchise fees.
The Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs said Time Warner said the over-collections were largely a result of the company's internal accounting practices that were used in the past. The company has since changed its accounting practices to recalculate franchise fees to ensure greater accuracy, the agency said.
Oceanic Time Warner Cable Maui subscribers (excluding Lahaina) and Hilo subscribers should expect to see a credit in the amount of about $2.79 (Maui) and $1.85 (Hilo) on a future monthly cable bill.
The credit to all subscribers should be completed by May 5.
