Dizon receives more honors

Colorado senior inside linebacker Jordon Dizon keeps picking up preseason honors.
Dizon, a 2004 Waimea graduate, was selected to the CollegeFootballNews.com preseason all-Big 12 Conference second team. He was also selected to the all-Big 12 preseason football team by the media.
Dizon was named to the watch lists for the Bednarik Award (top collegiate defensive player) and the Lott Trophy (college football's defensive impact player of the year).
MORE FOOTBALL
Oregon State junior guard Jeremy Perry (Kahuku '04) was selected to the Street & Smith's preseason All-America Team.
He is also on the preseason watch lists for the Outland (top interior lineman) and Lombardi (top lineman or linebacker) awards.
Portland State center Brennan Carvalho (Kamehameha '04 of Kapa'a) is one of four players to repeat as a preseason College Sporting News NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision All-America first-team member.
WOMEN'S GOLF
Idaho junior Kelly Nakashima (Baldwin '04 of Wailuku) was named to the Western Athletic Conference all-academic team.
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
San Jose State freshman Krystal Tsukano (Kamehameha '06) was named to the Western Athletic Conference all-academic freshmen/transfer team.
MEN'S SOCCER
Justin Kim, the 2004 Advertiser State Player of the Year, is transferring from Bowling Green to Saint Mary's (Calif.) for the upcoming season.
Kim was a Mid-American Conference second-team selection.
COMMITMENT
Boxer Kawika Tangjian signed with the U.S. Olympic Education Center at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Mich. He will join two other boxers from Hawai'i, Bruno Escalante and Keola McKee.
