Join us as we take a tour on the PGA Tour with Parker McLachlin, a former Punahou athlete. McLachlin earned his PGA Tour card for this season. He joins Castle alum Dean Wilson as the only Hawai'i golfers on the PGA Tour. McLachlin, Waikoloa's touring pro, will write his impressions on events that he's just completed and tournaments that are upcoming on his calendar.

Aloha.

Greetings to everyone from our nation's capital, Washington D.C.

We are here this week for the Tiger Woods Inaugural Invitational, the AT&T National. Washington D.C. has so much to offer and enjoy, I am excited to spend some time learning a bit about one of our most important cities while prepping my game.

This event has one of the smaller fields of the year, and currently I am on the alternate list, so hopefully by the time tomorrow comes around, I will move up a little and tee it up.

I saw some nice things in my play last week, although the scores don't always reflect progress. It's the essence of what makes this game of golf the ultimate challenge.

Constantly trying to improve and take the changes and alterations to the golf course, and more importantly into competition. I see some great signs of things moving in the right direction with the work I am putting in off the course before the event begins.

The Buick Open, like all of our events, did a great job of providing us with activities off the course that are enjoyable. My favorite was the GM Driving Experience that allowed us to take some really fast cars and push them to the limit on a driving course they have set up.

I know I mention it often, but we are very lucky to enjoy these wonderful cities and places we visit to take our mind off the course.

Talk to you next week.

Mahalo!

Parker.
