2 women hold up ice cream parlor
Advertiser Staff
Two women with a pistol robbed an ice cream parlor in Waimanalo yesterday afternoon.
The women entered the Dave's Ice Cream store at about 5:45 p.m. and threatened the only employee working at the time with a gun. One of the women took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register before they both fled.
One woman was described as 5 feet 6, 150 pounds with black hair, a black shirt and black pants. The second was 5 feet 6, 200 pounds with black hair, and gray pants and shirt.
It's not known if the robbery is related to the Aug. 23 holdup of a candy store in Pearl City by two women. One of the women in that robbery pulled a gun on the lone employee of the store and demanded an undisclosed amount of money.
