"Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles" is a sci-fi animated drama and among today's film festival offerings.

Hawaii International Film Festival

It's the final weekend of the Louis Vuitton Hawaii International Film Festival on O'ahu. Among today's scheduled screenings:

  • "Americanese," directed by former Honolulan Eric Byler, at 1:15 p.m. at the Dole Cannery theater complex.

  • "Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles" is a sci-fi animated drama. 4 p.m. at Dole.

  • "Banquet," set in 10th-century China, stars Zhang Ziyi. 7:30 p.m. at Dole.

    Also, director Kevin Smith goes Q&A at 7:30 p.m. at the Hawai'i Theatre. He's the fellow who's responsible for films such as "Clerks," "Clerks II" and "Chasing Amy." Ask away! Admission: $15; $14 military, students, seniors and theater members; $13 for HIFF members.
