Hirono raises $100K more than Hogue

Democrat Mazie Hirono outraised her Republican opponent, Bob Hogue, by more than $100,000 between Oct. 1 and Oct. 18, according to campaign finance reports filed this week.
Hirono, who raised $155,714 for the period — and more than $1 million since she announced she would run for the U.S. House seat in the 2nd Congressional District — has $95,250 left to spend.
Hogue's latest burst of contributions — $55,505 — accounts for about a third of his overall fundraising. He had $43,197 in cash on hand at the end of the reporting period.
