KAMA'AINA DAY AT PALACE
Mark your calendars: The next Kama'aina Day at 'Iolani Palace is Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. That's when residents (be sure to bring an ID) can enter the palace for free on a first-come, first-served basis. There's free parking on the grounds, too.
If you don't have an ID, it's $20 general, $5 kids 5-12. 522-0832, ext. 23.
HULA AT WAIKIKI SHELL
The World Invitational Hula Festival, featuring halau from Hawai'i, Japan, Mexico, Alaska California, Nevada and Samoa, takes place at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 9-11 at the Waikiki Shell.
The event also includes guest performances by halau from Illinois, Indiana and Rhode Island during the intermission Nov. 11.

MAGNETS AT PIPELINE
