Cruise with John Cruz at film festival concert tonight

Acoustic souled singer/songwriter John Cruz takes center stage tonight at Hawaii International Film Festival's annual Hawaii Night at the Hawai'i Theatre. Cruz will perform live following the premiere screening of Kaua'i filmmaker Leslie Cole Truglio's "Made of Music: The Story of John Cruz." The documentary traces the Na Hoku Hanohano award-winning musician's triumphs and struggles. The evening kicks off with a screening of the animated short "The Shimmering," based on a story by Keola Beamer, who will also perform.
