Dick Tomey quiz easier than apples and oranges

You say you've been a University of Hawai'i football fan for ages. You or your family have had season tickets since Aloha Stadium opened. You hardly miss a game.

Swell, but how well do you really know this week's topic, Dick Tomey UH trivia?

Tomey is — for the moment, at least — still UH's winningest football coach against NCAA competition, having won 63 games between 1977 and '86 when he resuscitated a languishing program. With Tomey's current team, San Jose State, playing UH Saturday night at Aloha Stadium, a lot of old tales are being revived. So, test your knowledge of some of them from the Tomey Era.

1. After one of Tomey's teams had a particularly bad game, KGMB sportscaster Larry Beil substituted tape of which comedy act for UH highlights on the news?
