Kabuki is a traditional Japanese form of theater with origins in the Edo period. Comedy troupe Loose Screws goes improv on the classic art with its hilarious "Screwbuki" at 2 p.m. Sunday at the East-West Center Gallery on the University of Hawai'i-Manoa campus.

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE

Director Sam Green will be on hand to introduce his documentary "The Weather Underground." Green captures the radical � and violent � 1970s protest group that emerged from Students for a Democratic Society. Surviving Weathermen talk about the turbulent, idealistic times when it seemed possible for America to wake up to a better tomorrow.

The film, a best-documentary Oscar nominee in 2004, will be screened free at 7 p.m. tonight at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa's Krauss Hall, Yukiyoshi Room. Call 956-8244 for information.
