Mark your calendars: Mother's Day is May 14. Thinking of treating dear ol' Mom to a show? There are two that day at the Hawaii Ballrooms of the Sheraton Waikiki hotel; they feature Island favorites Na Leo, Lanai and Augie and special guest Raiatea Helm.

  • A brunch show begins at 10 a.m. (doors open at 9 a.m.). Admission is $48 general, $24 keiki 4-11.

  • A matinee show begins at 3 p.m. (doors open at 2 p.m.). $27, $14.

    WAIKIKI FESTIVAL MAY 12

    There's a new date for the "Waikiki By Moonlight — Vintage Meets Vogue" block party. Originally scheduled for May 13, it will now take place a day earlier, May 12, from 7 to 11 p.m.

    Among the entertainers scheduled to perform are Aunty Genoa Keawe, Henry Kapono and Keahiwai. Jeff Apaka will perform a tribute to his dad, Alfred Apaka. Other attractions include hula performances, a fashion show that illustrates the themes of vintage and vogue, prizes, food booths, arts and crafts and exhibits.

    Kalakaua Avenue will be closed to vehicles. Admission to the festival is free. 923-1094.
