TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"NCAA Basketball Tournament," 7 a.m. and 2 p.m., CBS. For the next two weeks, the college basketball tournament will consume our TV sets on Thursdays, Fridays and much of the weekend. Games vary in each region, but the general idea remains: Today, expect one double-header to begin shortly after 7 a.m. and another at 2 p.m. By late Friday, the NCAA field will have been trimmed from 64 to 32. Next week, the final "sweet 16" will start all over.

"Na Mele: Treasures," 7:30 p.m., PBS. Tonight's best bet is live on television. As part of its annual membership drive, PBS Hawai'i launches a two-hour kanikapila from its Dole Street studios featuring performances by Robert Cazimero, Iwalani Kahalewai, Emma Veary, Bill Kaiwa and Nina Keali'iwahamana. Harry B. Soria Jr., longtime host of "Territorial Airwaves," co-hosts with Becky Dunning, PBS vice president of development and chats with the performers. Note: DVDs of the show are planned as a perk for viewers who pledge to support PBS Hawai'i.

"How William Shatner Changed the World," 6 p.m., History Channel. If you missed Sunday's debut, here's a second chance. Shatner talks to people — from computer kings to rocket scientists to the inventor of the cell phone — who say they were inspired by "Star Trek."

"Gigli" (2003), 6 p.m., FX. Haven't you always wondered if this movie is really as bad as people say? Tonight, you can decide. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, then having a hot romance, play mob enforcers. Critics hated the movie and audiences ignored it.

"The O.C.," 8 p.m., Fox. Ryan's upcoming 18th birthday party brings mixed feelings.
