There was no escaping 'Aiea senior Derek Grace in the O'ahu Interscholastic Association's Western Division this season.
He reached base in all 10 games, getting a hit or driving in a run in nine of them, while holding down third base with solid defense.
Grace's efforts helped Na Ali'i go 9-1 and win the West title, and also earned him Player of the Year honors in a recent vote of division coaches.
Grace batted .469, with five doubles, four triples and 15 RBIs. His on-base percentage was .553, and his slugging average was .875.
Grace is joined on the OIA West's all-star first team by four 'Aiea teammates: outfielder Shane Koga, catcher Tripper Chung, pitcher Cody Aquino and designated hitter Brian Morihara.
Pearl City, with second baseman Dustin Kim Seu and shortstop Casey Fujishige, was the only other team with multiple all-stars.
Radford first baseman Michael Goodman, Mililani outfielder Dustin Antolin, Campbell outfielder Channon Coloma, Leilehua pitcher John Olley and Wai'anae utility player Darius Fuller round out the first team.
'Aiea's Ryan Kato was named Coach of the Year.
