Ka Himeni Ana 2006, contestants sought for the 22nd annual competition for unamplified singing of nahenahe (soft and sweet) songs in the Hawaiian language and accompanied by Hawaiian musical instruments (no electric amplification). Walter's Karaoke offers opportunities to compete in the 3rd annual Hawai'i Region National Talent Quest Karaoke Contest, a preliminary to the national contest Sept. 23-Oct. 1 in Laughlin, Nev.
