The 2005 Youth Speaks Hawaii Team at Brave New Voices in San Francisco. Teens compete today for six spots on a team headed for the International Youth Poetry Slam in New York.

Teenagers have a lot to say, and you can hear it in all its glory at a public poetry slam, 3 p.m. today at in the Architecture Auditorium of the University of Hawai'i-Manoa.

Teens from public, private and charter schools around the island will compete for six spots on a team that will go to the International Youth Poetry Slam in April in New York.
