Just in time for Valentine's Day, but for audiences that want something really different: From left, Ryan Sutherlan is Romeo, Nicole Brilhante is Juliet in "Femme Capulet," a racy adaptation of Shakespeare's famous love story, by local boys Troy Apostol and Shen Nissan Sugai. Warned you once, warn you twice: This is for mature audiences because of the play's sex, violence and even gun shots (it's set in a strip club). Tickets are $12 general, $10 students; available at the box office an hour before showtime or by phone at Honolulu Box Office.

The NFL Pro Bowl starts the excitement a day early with the Hawaiian Airlines Pro Bowl Concert, featuring Katchafire from New Zealand and local "American Idol" finalist Camile Velasco, left, along with NFL cheerleaders and team mascots and performances by 'Ekolu, Malino, Kekai Boys and Kapena. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $16 lawn, $18 terrace and $25 pool.

COMEDY: FEB. 11
A king-sized night of laughter is in store when the Laugh Factory presents "Da Ali'i of Comedy, Andy Bumatai." Funnyman Bumatai is best known locally for his "All in the Ohana" TV special as well as gigs around town at Brew Moon and the Palace Showroom. Tickets are $25 advance and $30 at the door.

COMEDY: FEB. 14
Those with a love for laughter won't want to miss The Laugh Factory's "Da Laughrodisiac Show with Paul Ogata and Friends." Actor-comedian Ogata, who packed his laugh bags for fame and fortune on the Mainland, comes home for a Valentine's night comedy concert that also features Kento. Tickets are $55, and include a dinner buffet at 6 p.m.

EXPO/RUN: FEB. 17-19, 20
The Hawaiian Telcom Great Aloha Run, right, gears up with a three-day expo before hitting the streets early Feb. 20, Presidents Day. The health, fitness and sports expo, where runners pick up their numbers, features food samples, exhibits, health screenings, products and entertainment. There's a special salute to the military, too, with a display of a Stryker Medical Evaluation vehicle, a helicopter, wall climbing and training tools.
The run, which also includes walkers, baby strollers and all who want to join in, is a benefit for a number of local charities.
Sign up for the run at the expo: $40 general, $18 children and seniors. Admission to the expo is free for runners, $4 general.

The world-renowned Kronos Quartet offers an evening of contemporary works, including its take on "Flugufrelsarinn," a tune by the enigmatic Icelandic band Sigur Ros. The quartet is composed of John Sherba, violin; Jeffrey Zeigler, cello; David Harrington, violin; and Hank Dutt, viola. Tickets are $30 general, $18 students and Honolulu Symphony musicians. Part of the Honolulu Chamber Music Series season.

Kick up your heels for the energetic salsa sounds of the Spanish Harlem Orchestra, below. The Grammy Award-winning ensemble from New York City boasts a 13-piece orchestra that features conga, bongo, bass, trombones and trumpets. Tickets are $27 general, $23 students, seniors and military.

Ska Brawl Tour 2006, featuring the rock-ska antics of The Toasters, stops in Honolulu. The band has consistently churned out albums such "Skaboom," "Thrill Me Up" and "This Gun for Hire," despite an ever-changing lineup. Tickets are $25 presale for this all-ages show. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Next up on the Prime Time stage is the world premiere of "The Ravanayana," which tells the ancient tale of Rama, but from the point of view of his nemesis Ravana — and in a 1940s nightclub setting.
